December 13, 2013

Today I am working on my Christmas cards. I have made several; but have given most of them away to others.  This CCR cut is from winter woodland cartridge on page 51. I used some glossy accents on the skate blade to make it shine.  I used Edge to Edge cut #18 at 5 inches for the background. I think it turned out wonderful, although I should have double cut this design, some of it I had to pick out.

December 11, 2013

I am so bummed today…..My new laptop crashed last week and Best Buy has had it for too long. I have gotten most of my files back; but, some of them I can’t remember where I got them.  I only had it for 3 months and didn’t think about backing it up in that short of time. I have definitely learned my lesson.

If you know where this design came from please let me know.

I have a plastic box that I put all my paper cut offs in. It is so hard to use them up. I came up with this design to use a little strip with a side punch, and a little ribbon. I used a spellbinder die to put the print in a frame. I like the way it turned out and hope you do too.  Have a great Wednesday, hope you can get out for Church tonight.

Thanks for stopping by.

Today I am working on another Halloween card. I like to send these to the kids at church and see their happy smiles.  This is a supper cute card made with the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge.  I also used some DCWV paper I got at Michael’s this year.  I think it turned out super cute, Thanks for stopping by.

I found this cute digital image in my library, I don’t know where it came from. But it is so cute and just made me think of Halloween and fall.  I had these cute leaves in a draw loose, and thought they added a nice touch to the card. I used Prismacolor markers and gelly roll pens for coloring the image.  I love the cooler days and this morning I was able to enjoy my coffee on the porch, God knows we need this rain. I checked the gage this afternoon and we got .70 here in north Texas.  Thanks for stopping by.  Sorry the photo is a little crooked.

Hope you like this and come again soon to see what I am working on.

Today I am down in my back so I chose a quick and easy fall card. I got this cute digital print from Meljens design blog (her site is the first one listed below) and colored it with promarkers then used glitter gel pens for the leaves, super cute.  I used a spellbinder shape cut for the background and then attached some lovely leaf ribbon. I mounted everything on craft paper.

Hope you like this and come again soon to see what I am working on.

Today I have been working on some wonderful Halloween card. These are from the Cricut paper doll dress up cartridge. I saw this twisted easel card made on the Cards TV website and had to make it. You can find it here http://cardztv.blogspot.com/2013/09/fun-card-folds-5-have-you-been-booed.html.  It didn’t last one day in my for sale stack, I need to make more. I modeled the little girl after my granddaughter, she always has to be some kind of princess. I cut the hair out of white and then colored it with stamp-n up ink.

Hope you like this and come again soon to see what I am working on.

Today I have been working on a beautiful Christmas card. I purchased this digital stamp from Tiddly Inks several years ago. The great thing about digital is that you can make them any size you need, and it will never tear or not ink up right even after years of use, and storage is never a problem.  I colored the dress red with promarkers and then added flocking powder to all the areas that I thought looked like fur, Very nice.  I then used a spellbinder die to cut it out. The background paper is from my stash.
Hope you like this and come again soon to see what I am working on.

Today I have been working with my Silhouette making a fall card.  I found this cut in the design store, super cute. I like the happy smiles on the pumpkins...not scary, and the wonderful vine. All the paper is from a DCWV neutrals stack, I have had this for a long time. I didn't use and background paper because I wanted to make the focus of the card the pumpkins.  I used my sketch pens on the label and a font called darkwood, I got it from dafont.com.  Lots of great fonts and dingbats here for free. I think it turned out nice, thanks for stopping by.

Hope you enjoyed this card and will come again soon. Have a great Wednesday, don't forget to attend you local Church service.

Today I have been working on a beautiful birthday card.  I purchased this print over a year ago and don’t remember where I got it.  (I got it at Tiddly Inks) I have changed my habits and know put the web site on the file name. If anyone knows where this came from I will make mention of it. This is a lovely print and always colors well no matter if I use pencils or markers.  I like to use glitter pens on the wings and flowers…so nice.

I think I am finally getting the hang on Silhouette design studio. I got my Portrait a few weeks ago and I love it, and used it today to make a few designs. It cuts the most intricate designs with a clean line.   Don’t get me wrong I have a Cricut and loads of cartridges; however, I love being able to make my own designs. Hope you like this card.  I found this pumpkin design on google images.

The summer is finally over and the grand kids are back in school. I spent some time today getting organized in my craft room and even had time to make some Christmas cards.  My wonderful husband gave me Teddy Bear Parade last year for Christmas and a new laptop of my birthday this week. I hope to have time to post my cards more often.  My birthday is not until Monday, but he surprised me early.  Hope you like this one I will post another tomorrow.

Today I am working on cards for Veterans Day.  I have a few made; however; this is my favorite.  I found these cuts in the Silhouette online store.  I purchased a portrait and am enjoying the freedom of designing my own files. I still love my Cricut, but I am enjoying my Portrait.

I love these cuts and think the top cut, using the pen, looks wonderful.

Thanks for coming by, enjoy your weekend.

Today I am making a card for my best friend on her birthday.  I used a new spellbinder die and some black embossing powder on a stamp I have had for a few years, to get just the right affect.  Some sparkle ribbon and a few prima flowers made it special, just as she is.

I think it turned out very nice. Thanks for stopping by.

Today I am making a card for my niece, she is getting married this summer.  I used the Happily Ever After cart with a little piece of shear ribbon for her veil and some shimmer paper for her dress.  I cut out the center of the front face with a spellbinder die and then added some hand rolled flowers. The flowers are cut from the Flower Shoppe cart.

I think it turned out very nice. Thanks for stopping by.

Well I can tell that summer is upon us, Hot and dry Texas.  I have been very busy with swimming and a garden.  But I try and make time to spend in my craft room.  Today I made a beautiful card with a new sizzix flower die.  I start with white paper and then spritz, ink and curled the edges and finished it off with a crystal brad and a little heat embossing… Walla.

Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday, don’t forget to go to Church this evening. Thanks for stopping by.

April 30, 2013

Today I am working no some paper flowers; I have been looking at a lot of how to videos lately to see who has the best technique.  I used an old mouse pad and my MS rolling tools.  I rolled the edges under and them the center to make it stand up. This flower is from Flower Shoppe the heart one. I used 2 at 1.5 in 1 of each of 1.25, 1, and .5. It could use another one at .75 but I think this one looks good. I inked all the edges, put a pearl in the center and added some Sizix Branch w/leaves, I have had this die for years and it always come in handy. The center doily is from SU, as is the background paper.

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy, Happy Thursday everyone hope you have a great weekend planed.  Long time no post.  I have been very busy with spring planting, and getting the outside of the house ready.  We love the wet weather we are having in North Texas, thank God, it was so dry here last year.  I hope to see some of my grand children play ball on Saturday, maybe I won’t have to take a blanket like last week.

I wanted to use some new white prima flowers I got at M. I sprayed them with some mist I made.  It is very simple to make with just water ink drops and perfect pearls powder, I used SU ink. Mix all into a mini mister and tadda you have mist.  Be sure to put in a box or trash can to mist as it goes everywhere, let air dry or use a heat gun or dryer.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

March 1, 2013

Happy, Happy Friday everyone hope you have a great weekend planed.  I hope to see some of my grand children play ball on Saturday.

I pulled out the ornamental Iron2 and flower shoppe cartridges today to make this card.  I also used SU paper, glossy accents and a little glitter.

I went to JA Tuesday, they have some great savings on their craft items that are mostly 50% off, I really stocked up on adhesive.  I have tried a lot of different adhesives to close and put these rolled flowers on a card, a lot of them don’t hold very long, the flowers are just too heavy.  I have found that hot glue is the most reliable way to make it stay where you put it.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Monday everyone.  I have been thinking about what I wanted to do for some of the challenges this week. I have Teddy Bear Parade; however, everyone else seems to be using it. I wanted to be different, although I will make a card for the grand-kids that has the bear on it. I made my card from the forever young and paper doll dress up cartridges.  All the paper is from DCWV and I pop dotted the hat and the shamrock up from the card.

Hope you have a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by.
